BOYSEN NOW 4-0 WITH WIN OVER CASA ELETTRICA, 75-69

Boysen continued its winning ways, coming through in its 4th straight close contest to stay on top of the standings, waylaying Casa Elettrica with a narrow 75-69 victory.

Boysen is now virtually assured of a spot in the final four playoff format in the 2008 ABU Corporate Cup 1st Jam. Casa Elettrica is pushed to the brink with its 3rd straight loss, needing to win its remaining three games to salvage any hope of playing beyond the elimination round.

Roy Punla continued to recapture the form that solidified him as an elite player in ABU, this time scattering 27 points on 10-15 shooting from the field and 7 of 8 from the charity stripe. Punla kept barging inside to troop to the free throw line, once in a while sticking sure jumpers around the perimeter. (more…)
